Project: SPCA Kowloon Centre, Hong Kong 3/3

Finishes and materials were selected for outlook, practicability, durability and cleanability - indeed maximum effect for minimum cost. The Hong Kong public generously contributed and this high-spec building was completed for a total cost of HKD 38 million, including fixtures and fittings, professional fees and all freestanding veterinary equipment.

An added bonus which developed from the interior design work, was the creation of a prototype 'mini mobile cattery' (The Cheshire Cat house). This gained considerable interest in the animal community outside of Asia and has since been patented. It is now being marketed for commercial sale, with a portion of the proceeds destined for the welfare of animals in China.
